CFOtech: Orca Opti Launches Free AI Governance Tool for Australia

CFOtech Australia covered the launch of Opti Assist Free, ORCA Opti's no-cost, sovereign AI governance assistant, with a sharp angle for finance leaders on cost saved and regulatory exposure.

CFOtech Australia ran the launch of Opti Assist Free, ORCA Opti's no-cost AI governance assistant for regulated Australian organisations. The piece foregrounds the line that lands hardest with finance leaders: a DISP readiness report that used to take around three weeks and cost about $5,000 is now free, in about fifteen minutes, on sovereign infrastructure.

The story also sets the launch against tightened Privacy Act penalties (up to USD $50 million, three times the benefit obtained, or 30 per cent of adjusted turnover for serious breaches), and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner's stance that organisations are accountable for personal information employees enter into commercial AI tools.

"A DISP readiness report at this level of detail used to cost around $5,000 and take three weeks. We're giving it away for free, on sovereign infrastructure, and it takes about fifteen minutes."

Kathryn Giudes, Founder & Managing Director, ORCA Opti
